This Privacy Policy describes how Advertising Inspection Management Research Sdn Bhd ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the AimsAgent mobile application ("App").
By default, AimsAgent does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. All data created or captured within the App — including photographs, videos, inspection records, and detection results — remains exclusively on your device.
Optional AIMS Server Sync: If you choose to log in to your AIMS Research account and enable automatic GPS track synchronization, your GPS track data and associated session metadata will be transmitted to our AIMS server for analysis and storage. This data transmission only occurs when:
You can disable automatic syncing at any time in Settings, and you can manually initiate a sync or opt-out for individual sessions.
AimsAgent supports optional user authentication through AIMS Research accounts. When you choose to log in:
Login is entirely optional. The App remains fully functional for local use without an account.
The App accesses location data from your device. This location data is used for GPS-related functionality within the App.
Local Processing: Location data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you are logged in and have enabled the "Push GPS Tracks" setting.
AIMS Sync: If automatic GPS track synchronization is enabled while you are logged in, GPS trackpoint data (latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, and timestamps) will be sent to our AIMS server for analysis.
The App requests access to your device camera solely to capture images and video for advertising board inspection and analysis purposes.
Local Storage: Photos and videos you capture are stored locally on your device and are not automatically transmitted to our servers. You maintain full control over all captured media.
AimsAgent allows you to configure a webhook URL pointing to a server of your choosing. When a webhook is configured, the App may send inspection data (images, metadata, detection results) directly from your device to your own server. We have no access to, and no control over, the data transmitted through user-configured webhooks. You are solely responsible for the privacy practices of your own server endpoint. Webhook transmission is independent of AIMS authentication and can be used whether or not you are logged in.
Local Storage: All App-generated data (sessions, trackpoints, photos, videos, settings) is stored locally on your device using encrypted local databases.
AIMS Server Storage: If you enable AIMS sync while logged in, GPS track data and session metadata are stored on our AIMS server for analysis and historical reference. You can request deletion of your synced data through your AIMS account settings.
We do not operate analytics services that track your behavior or usage patterns.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share your data with any third parties except:
Local Data: All data stored on your device remains under your control. You can delete sessions, photos, or any other data directly from the App at any time.
AIMS Server Data: If you have synced data to AIMS Research, you can request deletion through your AIMS account or by contacting us. We will retain synced data only as long as your account is active, unless longer retention is required by law.
AimsAgent is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
